Tecno has unveiled Spark Go 1 with moderate specs in Nepal. Despite its normalcy, the phone does offer a premium design on a budget. In this article, we will be looking at the Tecno Spark Go 1 in further detail including its official price in Nepal.
The Tecno Spark Go 1 comes in a flat body with a uniquely shaped camera island that is somewhere in between a square and a circle. The phone has an IP54 dust and water resistance. It is available in Glittery White and Startrail Black color options. The former has cloud-like patterns whereas the latter has a grainy look on their backs.
On the front, the phone dons a 6.67-inch display with a hole punch cutout. Tecno does not go into much detail about the screen on Spark Go 1. However, they do mention the support for 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. Other than that, there is no other info available apart from the fact that it can work even when water droplets or oil is on the screen.
Under the helm, the Tecno Spark Go 1 has the UNISOC T615 processor. It is a new offering from the semiconductor foundry that sits between the UNISOC T610 and T606. While the numbering “615” numbering might suggest it to be better than the T610 launched in 2019 — that is not the case. It comes with 12nm fabrication, and two cortex-A75 and six cortex-A55 cores clocking at 1.8GHz and 1.6GHz respectively.
The RAM and storage on this phone are rather modest too. It comes with two choices for memory, either 3GB or 4GB. On the other hand, the storage options are 64GB and 128GB only. The Tecno Spark Go 1 sort of tries to make up for its low memory with a RAM extension feature. However, there does not seem to be an option for storage expansion. Software-wise, the phone boots on Android 14 Go, which is a water-down version of the original OS designed for phones with less than 2GB RAM.
In terms of optics, the Tecno Spark Go 1 gets a single 13MP camera on the back. Though there is a second cutout, it does not house any lenses. But it appears to be an IR blaster, that you can use to control other appliances in your home. Meanwhile, you get an 8MP unit on the front.
In the tank, the Tecno Spark Go 1 has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. Tecno says the Spark Go 1 can go from 0 to 80% charge in under 90 minutes. Other than that, this phone offers 4.5G (LTE Advanced) cellular connectivity. It likely uses Carrier Aggregation 2.0 technology, which we saw on the Tecno Camon 30S Pro too.
